In version 0.50.X, a new tab model was introduced that allows jumping between files. However, in Jupyter Notebooks, it does not work properly — it suggests navigating to the raw .ipynb file’s section, which is obviously not possible while working inside Jupyter.

This is a serious design flaw that should be addressed. Moreover, overall .ipynb support in Cursor is absolutely poor. You should definitely pay more attention to it.

Thank you.

+1 for this, new tab model simply breaks Jupyter flow with this “TAB to .ipynb” popup which I cannot disable or even temporarily hide unless I switch off Cursor Tab completely (which is one of main features of Cursor).

Simple solution could be to just restrict Tab model to navigate to any .ipynb files until it is resolved in a more meaningful way.

P.S.
Overall .ipynb support is also definitely poor (which is nonsense for me given it is so important tool for all researchers and ML enthusiasts), but I understand it takes time to adapt for it

+1 Jupyter Notebook is unusable with 0.50, had to downgrade to 0.49 because of it.

Dear devs, please fix the Tab model suggesting cross-file jumps in Jupyter Notebooks. It’s a small change that would greatly improve usability. I’m stuck on an older version of Cursor just because of this. Would really appreciate a quick fix — thanks!
