Basically, I’m wearing out my escape key from the amount of Tab suggestions I have to cancel while coding. It’s like having drunk junior developer who randomly mashes my keyboard any time I dare to pause in my typing.

What I would love is a keyboard shortcut that means, “I, the human, have stopped typing and I think you, the LLM have a decent chance of getting it right”.

Instead it feels like every third keystroke is Escape, accompanied by me muttering “no… no, not that… ugh, fuck off… no…”

It would also save everyone money, right? Every suggestion that is generated just to get flushed away burns GPU time for Cursor and slows me down as a developer.

> @mbylst I’ve been looking for the same thing - a single-key shortcut to quickly disable the mighty cursor tab when it’s doing too much and starts editing the code around the cursor when I’m just trying to fix some indentations. Since I couldn’t find anything online, I tried to come up with my own solution. Maybe it’s not the most elegant way to do it, but I tied so many different things and this was the only thing that actually worked in the end. Here’s the setup: First we need extensions, so…
