I noticed Kimi K2.5 in my model list a couple weeks ago. Said it was free. I used it several times. Today, i start cursor up and notice it in my list but also notice an update available. I update, now K2.5 is nowhere to be seen.
It was likely a temporary promotion, Cursor does this all the time with models.

Kimi K2.5 has not been made available in Cursor. kimi-k2-instruct has, although I don’t think it’s in the default model list at the moment. That might be what you were thinking of!

Also, it was available. I used it extensively. It was free. Then I literally watched it vanish from the list after restarting for an update.
hi @BPPL_Gilgamesh can it be that you manually added that model via 3rd party API under Settings > Models? We did not yet have Kimi 2.5 in Cursor.
No. It can’t be. I wouldn’t know how to do that. After K2.5 vanished from my list of available models, I searched google on how to add it unsuccessfully.
