Latest Beta Completely Broken (Claude model + UI issues)

Hello,
I updated to the latest Cursor beta today, and it’s literally driving me crazy because nothing works properly anymore.

When using Claude, the model has become completely dumb. It keeps running these weird commands instead of reading the attached file properly, like it used to on the previous version ! It’s always doing this :

cd file && head -200 file
cd file && sed -n ‘165,210p’ file

Previously, it would just read the attached file directly without these unnecessary commands.

Also, there’s a major UI/UX issue: on my 14-inch MacBook Pro, I can’t resize the input box anymore. It’s locked and really uncomfortable to use.

And I’m no longer able to use @previous tchat

yeah everything is bugged. There is no more agent tab anymore too. Lost my chats again, I am leaving beta to see if not happen anymore

It looks like agent view/tab settings is controlled via cursor settings . There is now an option to choose between agent view or editor view . But I agree, current Beta has rough edges for sure

Thank you all for your feedback and bug reports.

We did launch Cursor 2.0 in the meantime with many improvements. Please update and let us know if you still experience issues.

Note that models may degrade in performance on larger context.

We did remove some options previously available like @previous as they were not performing as well as we would like them to do. Some of them may be added again once we achieve the level we require for successful usage.

The input box resizes with the Agent pane width.
