I was one of the early adopted when we could buy multiple subscription if we required to have more request, thus having 2 subscription myself led to a total of 1000 requests which was almost always about my monthly usage.
Since they strongly nerfed the legacy sub I had no other possibility than to upgrade as I definetly needed the up to date model to keep on working.
As of today I found myself having Claude MAX 20x subscription AND Cursor 200$ subscription too…
At this point, with the performance, value for money and limitation of the two I am mostly not using Cursor anymore (burning my frontier API in days and auto not being that great).
This is just sad that I was first one to pursue your growth talking to every developer not knowing you about how great Cursor was and I am now considering downgrading or even stopping my subscription at this point…
I am aware it won’t change anything for this issue but I hope company behaviour in the future will learn from this and avoid repeating again this error, unless you’ll defiantly risking your image…

I just received an invoice related to this, was just the extra usage I made above my plan limits which hadn’t been billed for last month, nothing sinister 
so i guess it is time to say farewell. Does anyone know when i cancel my annual subscription now will i be blocked right away or when the annual subscription is over?
its until the annual subs over, not blocked directly the time you cancled. but you will get that annoying floating notif in the dashboard

Now that Cursor got acquired by SpaceX, us legacy users are probably going to get completely purged, just like the legacy blue checks on Twitter back then.
I’ve found Zed to be amazing, mostly due to stability and performance. It lacks a few features depending on what AI provider you use (e.g. I used Cursor CLI which doesn’t give me the nice code diff view/review, only via git), but well worth it for me - Cursor ate most of my resources (on macos) and was instable as crazy. Also it doesn’t feel like they eff you over all the time with pushing their way of coding (agent view, auto-changing your model selection, etc). In terms of subscription I’m always trying out new thing - so far haven’t been a fan of the chinese models (too much token use, too many hallucinations and misunderstandings) no matter how good the benchmarks were. I’ve used Claude previously and was happy alongside Cursor legacy plan, next month I’ll try OpenAI again. Nothing gets close to 500 requests for $20, but that’s just the game now…

Really? So this is like.. psychological trick? I thought they recently added it so that they can mess with legacy users even further. Either way, its the end for me, even if the legacy plan will remain, still they have removed many valuable features that used to make Cursor unique, now its just another AI wrapper, better use Codex tbh
Next time they will be: you need max to login, browse, select, use forum, and even renew the plan, introducing, MAX Tax!
