Regarding newly-created Composer instances which are listed in the “new window” Composer view, shouldn’t they be added to the top of the list instead of the bottom? Very easy new composers to be buried. Is the idea that we should avoid making multiple composers that might fill up a list?
I think it’s a common pattern where the old stuff goes to the bottom. You’re suggesting a reverse sort, but this principle is used everywhere.
UPD:
It’s strange, I hadn’t noticed it before, but it seems you’re right. Right now, sorting in Composer is in reverse order, and if there’s an overflow, the new Composer isn’t visible. I’ll talk to the developers about this. Thanks for sharing.
@deanrie when I add one with the dual-use button at the bottom of the left sidebar with the list of composers, it adds my new instance to the bottom. However, I’m fairly certain I’ve seen my new instances add to the top of the list (which I think is best, personally) when the composer is triggered using the keyboard shortcut. Could be wrong but I’ve seen new composers reach the top in a certain edge case.
