- Change
Http: Proxy Supportfromoverridetoon- Open Cursor settings:
Ctrl+, - In the settings search, type
proxy support - Change
Http: Proxy Supportfromoverridetoon - Restart Cursor and try logging in again
- Open Cursor settings:
More details about this bug:
- OAuth login silently fails behind local proxy — fix is changing one default setting
- Cursor Desktop App Does Not Sign-In After Signing In From Web
If that didn’t help, also check:
-
Traffic blockers: are you using a VPN, proxy, or something like Zscaler or a corporate filter? Try temporarily disabling your firewall or antivirus, then log in again.
-
cursor://protocol handler: after you log in in the browser, do you see the prompt “Open cursor://…”? If not, the handler might not be registered. Run Cursor once as admin, then try again.
Let me know what worked. If nothing did, we can dig deeper.
