I am using Cursor on a very large codebase on a MacBook Pro 16 M4 with 48GB.

:white_check_mark: Check the forum to ensure the issue hasn’t been reported already

  • I didnt found this bug before

:lady_beetle: Provide a clear description of the bug

  • After using Cursor agent for for more then 10 minutes the Mac dock process get up to 62 % CPU usage, I can still use cursor nearly without any troubles but anything else is difficult.
  • When not using Cursor my mac has NO problem. I checked all typical Mac doc problems. I reseted all Mac Doc settings.
  • Before Cursor 0.45.11 I didnt had this problem. I have this problem since a few days (5 days or so)

:arrows_counterclockwise: Explain how to reproduce the bug (if known)

  • Ok, hard to describe but I guess it depends on the the codebase size. Mime is big!

:camera: Attach screenshots or recordings (e.g., .jpg, .png, .mp4).

:computer: Tell us your operating system and your Cursor version (e.g., Windows, 0.x.x).

Still the same problem after updating to cursor 0.46.2

So today I didnt use cursor at all and today I had no problems with a high on dock and I used my Mac even harder. I assume that Cursor is the origin of this problem. I had to kill to dock during cursor 20 times a day. Otherwise I can use mail, chrome, terminal or something else. That is a pitty on beast like an M4 Max.

Its getting even worse with new cursor versions:
