Hey, thanks for the detailed report.

A few questions to help with debugging:

  1. Did the issue start after updating to 2.4.30, or was it already happening on earlier versions?
  2. Does it happen in any project, or only in a specific one?
  3. Can you check the extension logs:
    • Cmd + Shift + P > Developer: Open Process Explorer
    • See if anything looks suspicious in the extensionHost processes
    • Cmd + Shift + P > Developer: Show Running Extensions, then share a screenshot of the extensions list

Let me know what you find.

This bug started with version 2.4.30, and it exists in any project. Earlier versions did not have this issue.

Hey @babala, are you able to reproduce this error with that MCP server disabled? Trying to reproduce the behavior on our end and have been unable to.

@jaismith I have reinstalled cursor, but the problem still exists. I have deleted all cursor rules and all mcp configurations. It still suddenly stops as if interrupted during development. You can see this video.

The chat window briefly appears as if a new blank window was opened for a fraction of a second, then it returns to the current one, and after that, this image appears. This happens while I’m using Opus 4.6 Max and asked it to create sub-agents like itself.

I have encountered the same problem.:smiling_face_with_tear:

@deanrie @jaismith
I know how it happened.
It seems like triggering the opening of a new agent window and simultaneously opening .plan.md files.

I have closed all .plan.md documents, but these .plan.md documents will automatically open, and I am not using the plan to develop a project at this time.
