Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

Since recent update I haven’t been able to generate actual markdown docs in chat - it just goes straight to html and it’s burning through tokens like crazy for no reason. Please fix it

Steps to Reproduce

Ask in chat to generate something in markdown - 90% of the time it generates html version of it and nothing works to get it back to the way it used to be

Windows 10/11

For AI issues: which model did you use?

Sonnet and Opus - they used to work fine

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

I’m not aware of any other reports of this issue. Could you please provide a Request ID from a session where you experienced this problem?

To do this, please turn off Privacy Mode before starting a new chat to reproduce the issue (Cursor Settings > General > Privacy).
