Hey, thanks for the detailed report. This is a known cosmetic bug. The warning in MCP settings triggers on names with dots like sdl.symbol.search, but the tools still get called and work fine, like you noticed. So the message is misleading and no real filtering is happening.
We’ve already logged an issue for this on our side, but I can’t share an exact timeline for the fix yet. The same bug was discussed here: Cursor incorrectly filters out MCP tool names containing dots (.) and hyphens (-), despite being valid per MCP spec
For now, you can safely ignore the warning. It doesn’t affect tool functionality. I’ll follow up if there’s an update.
