Model changing not working

Now I have to tell what model I want to use if it’s not on auto. It’s annoying. Version 0.51.1

Also, is it possible to save the password for ssh? It’s pretty annoying that I have to type it out or copy it every time. A ftp option would be nice, too

Hi,

Auto:

  • Do you mean when you change the model in a chat and later start new chat it always show Auto?
  • Which Chat Mode are you using? (Agent, Ask…)?
  • Could you try to start a new chat, select model and then restart Cursor if that solves the issue?

SSH

  • SSH password should not be used to connect to remote servers, it is not safe. Use SSH keys which then automatically connects to remote server without needing a password but by using the key.

FTP:

  • There are several FTP extensions in the marketplace. You can find which one matches your needs.
  • Consider that SSH is much more safe to use than FTP.
