Describe the Bug

The model keeps changing after plan mode.

I selected Grok 4.7 Extra High model while writing the plan. I click on “Build locally” and suddenly the model changes to Grok 4.5 High before implementation starts. I have even disabled the Grok 4.5 from models list but this keeps on happening.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Select Grok 4.7 Extra High model in plan mode.
  2. Click on build locally.
    3, The model changes

Hey @prismdev, thanks for the report!

Build Locally uses the model selected in the plan’s own Build picker, which is separate from the chat picker. Your recent builds consistently used Grok 4.5 High, which suggests that picker still has it selected. Disabling a model in Settings currently does not clear a saved Build selection, and we’ve let the team know about that behavior.

To reset it:

  1. Open the plan by clicking its card in the chat.
  2. Open the model picker next to Build Locally.
  3. Choose “Inherit Agent Model” to follow the chat model, or select Grok 4.7 Extra High directly.
  4. Click Build Locally again.

If the picker already shows “Inherit Agent Model” and the model still switches, please share a screenshot with the picker open and the checked option visible.
