Describe the Bug

Model keeps switching to “Fast” without my intention.

My models keep defaulting to “Fast”. I have never once consciously wanted “Fast” to be my default for anything so I’m very confused here.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce: Unknown. Maybe just be a cursor user?

Expected Behavior

My models never ever ever ever default to anything other than the default model. Fast should never be on by default.

Additional Information

This issue has persisted between versions and models. The latest offender was me switching to composer 2, and it being fast again.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @C_B Thanks for reporting this… I apologize for the inconvenience. The reverting to a fast variant of composer is known bug and we have a bug report open to fix it… I’ll let you know when it’s sorted out.

Hey @C_B,
The model picker has been significantly reworked in recent updates — many persistence bugs in this area have been addressed. You’re on v2.1.50, and the latest version is 3.5.38.

Please update to the latest version and let me know if the model still reverts to “Fast” after that. If it does, please create a new thread with your updated version number and exact steps so we can investigate with fresh context.

Closing this one out for now since the version gap is substantial and the fix is likely already included.
