Mouse cursor over dropdown is selecting an item when it shouldn't

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Mouse cursor over dropdown is selecting an item when it shouldn’t.

This is a regression. Cursor team, please test your software before releasing it to us, to ensure it doesn’t break existing functionality.

Steps to Reproduce

1 Leave mouse cursor where dropdown will show for @ selection in chat
2 Type an @ with some characters to trigger the dropdown
3 Observe the selected item becomes whatever the cursor is covering

Expected Behavior

The cursor is ignored relative to the list, unless the cursor is moved.

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.5.5 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.99.3
Commit: 823f58d4f60b795a6aefb9955933f3a2f0331 d70

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi, thanks for your report.

Can you send a screen recording of this issue, as I’m unfortunately struggling to understand what the behaviour you are seeing here is?

@danperks see above.

The second item is being highlighted because the cursor happens to be there.
