Describe the Bug

Grok Bot desktop: multiline composer expands, then snaps back to two rows and won’t scroll. On desktop (macOS), pasting or typing multiple lines grows the chat input. Something then refreshes and the box collapses to two rows. The rest of the draft is still in there, but scrolling up does nothing.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Enter text into the input box that consumes multiple lines.
2. Wait (for an indeterminate period of time. Sometimes a minute or two, sometimes a few seconds) for refresh to collapse input box.

Expected Behavior

Input box should not re-size.

Hey @Jason_Lixfeld, thanks for the detailed report! This is a known issue with the chat input’s auto-sizing that we’re already tracking, and I’ve added your report to it. A fix for the input snapping back while you still have a draft in progress is already on its way in an upcoming update.

In the meantime: clicking into the input and typing a character will re-expand it to fit your draft, and if you have the right-side details pane open, closing it should restore the sizing and scrolling. Your draft is preserved either way.
