Currently if you copy some text from a cursor window and past it into the chat we get:
however, there times when I want the actual text copied so I can edit my prompt around it.
Therefore, we need the existing copy functionality, but also a Copy Text button, when pasted into chat window will paste the copied text and not create a reference to the copied lines.
Until this feature is implemented, I have to open ANOTHER app, paste and copy and come back… 
You can paste with CMD/CTRL SHIFT V that avoids pasting as selection.
Great to know, but shouldn’t need a post to forums for me to figure this out. The UI should make this clear as my proposal laid out. I’ll forget the key commands 10 more times until learning is reinforced, and even after that, probably forget it more times.
There isn’t even a paste menu when you right click on the chat window, would love to see
Furthermore, explicit is always better than implicit, key commands are like hidden, cryptic, implicit incantations.
