Hi — Ted here, founder of Neither.

I built Neither so Cursor can keep _selected_ project notes and documents in a graph you query over MCP, then retrieve related context with Decision / Rejected and the source evidence attached. You choose what enters context; it does not index an entire codebase.

Concrete example from our own Harbor beta notes (MCP retrieve in a fresh chat):

- Decision: Use invite codes instead of open signup.
- Rejected: Stripe Checkout on day one — seller/tax gates not green.
- with provenance back to the saved note.

**Setup (local stdio, Node 20+)** — Cursor `.cursor/mcp.json` / `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "neither": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@neitherai/mcp-server@latest"],
      "env": {
        "NEITHER_API_KEY": "YOUR_WORKSPACE_KEY",
        "NEITHER_API_BASE": "https://api.neither.online"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

What information do you most often have to reconstruct when returning to a project?

Quick update + ask, since the OP is quiet:

We published a short public BETA walkthrough you can clone and run yourself (connect → save one note → retrieve with source in a fresh chat):

> **[GitHub - stonianua/neither-demo: Sample ADRs to try Neither decision-memory MCP...](https://github.com/stonianua/neither-demo)**
>
> Sample ADRs to try Neither decision-memory MCP (cited Decision / Rejected / Constraint)

If you use Cursor on an ongoing project and keep re-explaining requirements / rejected options in fresh chats:

1. Guided start (free, no application): [Start — set up your AI memory — Neither](https://www.neither.online/start/?product=dev)
2. Or paste the mcp.json from the OP (Node 20+, local stdio) and grab a workspace key from the quickstart.

I’m taking a few **text-only** setup helps this week — reply here or email support@neither.online with subject **NEITHER-HELP** and (1) you’re on Cursor, (2) contact, (3) one task you want help with.

Still curious: what do you most often have to reconstruct when you return to a project?
