I was on the 2.6.0-pre.22.patch.0 nightly version but Cursor kept crashing without a specific reason so I had to downgrade to be able to use it again.
The problem came up randomly when in the middle of awaiting an agent response but since it happened quickly after reopening I couldn’t trace it to a specific issue.
Hey, thanks for the report. I can’t reproduce this.
To help the team look into it, could you share a couple of things?
Your macOS version and chip type (Intel or Apple Silicon)?
The crash report. You can find it in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ (look for files with “Cursor” in the name around the time of the crash). Or open Console.app and find “Cursor” under Crash Reports.
Also, did this happen with any project or only a specific one? And did you have any extensions installed that might be relevant?
Since you’re on a nightly build, crashes like this can sometimes come from regressions in a specific version. When the next nightly comes out, it might be worth trying again since it may already be fixed. But the crash report would really help narrow it down.
As a workaround, please download the stable version: Cursor · Download
