Hey, thanks for the report. Both models, Fable 5 and Sonnet 5, are enabled by default for everyone on our side. It looks like you just have an old model list cached from a previous session. Let’s refresh it:
- Fully quit Cursor, as in exit the app. Reloading the window won’t be enough, then open it again. Or sign out and sign back in. After that go to Settings > Models > View All Models and hit refresh. Fable 5 and Sonnet 5 should show up.
- About Fable 5, it’s a non-ZDR model. If you have Privacy Mode enabled, you’ll need to accept Anthropic’s data retention policy in the dashboard first, otherwise the model won’t activate.
- If the models still don’t show up after a full restart, it’s likely that a VPN, corporate proxy, or antivirus, for example Norton’s new AI monitoring or Zscaler, is blocking Cursor from reaching our servers, so you’re getting a reduced model list. Add Cursor to your allowlist and try turning on
"cursor.general.disableHttp2": truein settings.
We covered the same case here: No Fable 5 in Model List. Let me know if the models still don’t show up, and share your Cursor version.
