I’m pretty sure this is a backend error, it seems its like its failing to fetch and properly cache available models. Weird that composer-2-fast causing issue though.
All models have completely disappeared from the “Models” page in Cursor, and even reinstalling the application hasn’t resolved the issue. I am in pro+ plan
I’m on the Pro plan ($20/mo). I was previously able to manually select Claude Opus 4.6 (and other specific Claude/GPT models), but that option is no longer available.
Current behavior:
In Settings → Models, searching claude-4.6-opus returns No models available
The chat model picker only shows a limited set (Auto / Premium / Composer, etc.)
Billing/Usage indicates my included quota is not exhausted (e.g. around 34% used)
What I already tried:
Restarted Cursor
Refreshed the Models list
Confirmed I’m logged into the same Pro account
Expected behavior:
Restore manual selection for Claude Opus 4.6 (or the previously visible model set), or
Clarify why this account’s model catalog is currently restricted (feature flag / region / account policy)
Environment:
Cursor version: 3.1.14 (Universal)
OS: macOS 15.7.3 (24G419)
Request ID: c5233a91-8550-45ba-8906-ac2ea98a8533

Steps to Reproduce
This issue is reproducible and blocks my normal workflow because I specifically need deterministic model selection instead of Auto routing.
I downloaded the 2.6 version again, and now it’s restored in the models. This kind of bug is really stupid. Why hasn’t the official team fixed it for so long?
We have deployed a change and see the error rate decreasing. Could you please try restarting Cursor (using 3.0/3.1) and letting us know if you are able to use the model picker again?
