Same issue, no VPN. Have been a paid user for months, recently switched to the free year as student. Perhaps the issue is with student accounts.

Thank you, I got blocked while using claude 3.7, I did as you told and changed to auto mode, and it temperarily solved my issue. But I am worried such arbitrary block could happen again. Such unreliable service really disappoints user experience.

for anyone who is trying to use it, I just tried with claude 3.7 and it worked for me now they may have patched the bug

I asked a question, but accept two different replies from the cursor official. it seems they use AI to deal the emails rather than human beings.
