Describe the Bug

Old Plans Keep Re-appearing in my chat without a clear way to permanently “resolve” that plan.

Steps to Reproduce

In a very long conversation which has been summarized ~10-15 times, every ~6-10 messages will cause an old plan (built by “Plan Mode”) to re-appear in my chat window. This plan is far out of date right now, and I can’t find a clear way to get rid of it permanently.

Expected Behavior

Resolve this plan!

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

plans are saved in .cursor/plans in both project folder and in user directory, try deleting them

i am not sure if there is any connection between plans and chats outside of your local setup, e.g. on cursor servers

Likely, what @liquefy mentioned (deleting the plan) should do the trick (although I’m not sure what happens if the Agent wants to reference a chat you’ve deleted, since it’s still in the context).

Would be great to see a screenshot of this and how it’s presented. A Request ID with privacy mode disabled (Cursor Settings > General > Privacy), where you can reproduce this, would also be crucial.
