Hey Cursor Team,
For people like me who have used their fast requests and $20 is the budget. I try to use Deepseek and new o3-mini. Unfortunately the only proper model is sonnet which puts me into slow request.
Deepseek models and o3-mini are definitely not using context properly.
o3-mini issues:
-It is not applying changes in agent mode.
-It ignores half of the things I said, doesn’t seem to be the case on openai’s own app
-Answers very shortly and tries to make only minor changes in code (like said in previous point, it ignores if I tell multiple changes)
Deepseek issues:
-Context issues here too, it is making unrelated code changes on a very small codebase.
-Not available in Agent
-Kinda slow
There are some issues regarding DeepSeek which I had noticed earlier, not sure if they are already fixed but I didn’t face them today:
-Response getting cut
-Not applying changes sometimes
-I think it also makes 2 different changes at the same time (don’t think it gave me any issue)
If not as premium as Sonnet 3.5, the experience can at least be fair, this seems bad currently.
