Opening files takes me to agent window with no file presented

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When I click code files (e.g. a JSON file on my desktop) it opens the agents window and does not present the file.

Steps to Reproduce

Put a json on desktop and make sure Cursor is your default editor
Double click it
See agent window opens and JSON file is not opened with it

Expected Behavior

JSON file opens in the editor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Thanks for the forum post, and apologies that the response to this post was dropped. I can confirm that we’ve now fixed this issue. Please update your Cursor app and try this again, and you’ll see that it correctly opens the file in either the Agents view or the IDE view, depending on which view you currently have open.
