Hello, I’m on the Ultra plan
I previously had access to a model variant named “Opus 4.6 Max” (separate from the Max Mode context toggle). After renewing my subscription, this variant no longer appears in my model list.
When I sign in to the same account on a different laptop, the model sometimes appears briefly, then disappears again.
what should i do to appear it again?

You still have access to Opus 4.6 Max. The model picker was recently redesigned, and individual reasoning effort variants (like “Opus 4.6 Max”) are no longer shown as separate models in Settings > Models. Instead, you enable the base model family and then choose the reasoning level from the chat panel.
Here’s how to use it:
In Settings > Models, make sure Opus 4.6 is enabled (it looks like you already have it toggled on)
In the chat/agent panel, click the model selector and choose Opus 4.6
Hover over the model name and click Edit to set the reasoning effort to Max
That gives you the same model you were using before. Your account access is fine; it’s just the UI for selecting the variant that changed.
If you’re seeing Opus 4.6 itself (the base model) intermittently disappearing from the model list on your other laptop, try updating to the latest Cursor version and signing out and back in. Let me know if that helps!

@mohitjain This change make things worse, I used to be able to toggle the budget of the model by using hotkey (Ctrl+/ → type “opus” → arrow key to navigate budget like high or max). Now this is not possible and I have to use mouse every time. It essentially takes away the magic of Cursor where you can toggle model and budget effortlessly.
