Describe the Bug

Bug: Origin↔Vercel connected but repository list is empty

Summary

Origin team sumair-shaikh is connected to Vercel team chief of staff (Pro Trial, team slug chief-of-staff3). Cursor Codebase shows native Origin repo sumair-shaikh/tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28, but Vercel’s Origin/Git import picker returns zero repositories. Cursor’s Vercel app installation manage UI also shows “No Origin repositories available” when selecting repositories, even though All repositories is already selected for the Vercel app.

Cannot create a Vercel project from this Origin repo. Direct Build with Origin git URL returns to /new.

Environment

  • Date: 2026-09-16 (Asia/Karachi)
  • Cursor Origin namespace: sumair-shaikh
  • Origin repo: tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28 (Next.js storefront; visible in Codebase UI)
  • Origin clone URL: https://origin.cursor.com/git/sumair-shaikh/tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28
  • Codebase URL: https://cursor.com/codebase/sumair-shaikh/tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28

  • Related: Cursor GitHub App installed for GitHub user shaiksumair1 with All repositories (separate from Origin native repo)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Confirm Origin repo exists and is browsable at https://cursor.com/codebase/sumair-shaikh/tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28.
  2. On Vercel Pro team chief of staff, connect Origin team sumair-shaikh (Continue with Origin / Team Git settings → Origin).
  3. On Cursor, open Vercel app installation Manage; set All repositories; Save (already active).
  4. Open Vercel → New Project → Origin provider / Import Git Repository.
  5. Observe empty list: “No Git Repositories Found” / Origin APef-of-staff3` (Pro Trial — not Hobby)
  • Vercel New Project: https://vercel.com/new?teamSlug=chief-of-staff3

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Confirm Origin repo exists and is browsable at https://cursor.com/codebase/sumair-shaikh/tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28.
  2. On Vercel Pro team chief of staff, connect Origin team sumair-shaikh (Continue with Origin / Team Git settings → Origin).
  3. On Cursor, open Vercel app installation Manage; set All repositories; Save (already active).
  4. Open Vercel → New Project → Origin provider / Import Git Repository.
  5. Observe empty list: “No Git Repositories Found” / Origin API repos: .
  6. Optional: paste Origin git URL into Vercel Build field → returns to /new without creating a project.
  7. Reconnect Origin multiple times; Cursor install UI still shows “No Origin repositories available” despite All repositories mode.

Version Information

N/A — this is an Origin↔Vercel integration issue, not a Cursor IDE/CLI version issue. Cursor Codebase native Origin repo is visible.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the detailed report with a screenshot. Good news, your account and Vercel connection are fine. The repo just isn’t visible to integrations yet.

When an agent creates a project from scratch, the code lives in a draft repo with a temporary name. That’s the tmp-fcf8bc1efb9cbc28 one. Draft repos stay hidden from apps like Vercel until you give the project a real name via Create repo. That’s why both the Vercel picker and the Select repositories list show up empty, even with All repositories selected.

How to publish:

  1. Open cursor.com/agents and find the cloud agent that built this project (storefront).
  2. Above the input field, click the Create repo pill.
  3. Pick a repo name (anything except the tmp- name) and choose Private or Internal.
  4. Confirm. The repo will appear at cursor.com/codebase/sumair-shaikh/your-name.
  5. Go back to Vercel: New Project, Import Git Repository, pick the Origin provider. If the list is still empty, refresh the page or disconnect and reconnect Origin once so Vercel refreshes the list.

If the Create repo pill doesn’t show up in step 2, send a screenshot of the agent page and I’ll take a closer look. I also shared feedback with the team about the UX. The draft status isn’t clearly shown, and the publish path isn’t explained.
