Hey, thanks for the report. Unfortunately, the issue is still happening and hasn’t been fixed.
Root cause: Cursor doesn’t support the FileSystemProvider API (virtual file systems). Overleaf Workshop uses this API to connect to Overleaf directly.

The team has known about this since July 2025. It affects all FileSystemProvider extensions, not just Overleaf.
Workarounds:
- Inline Edit
Cmd+K, it may work in some cases - Use the LaTeX Workshop extension and work locally
