Pending approval does not show in UI

Describe the Bug

When I am using agents UI the pending approval for a write does not show (see screenshot for which UI I am talking about). I have to notice it has not made any progress then stop the chat then it shows up.

Steps to Reproduce

Have it ask for approval on a write and then it does not show the pending approval UI

Expected Behavior

It shoes pending approval UI and I can approve and not get stuck

Hey @SeanCorc,

Quick unblock: approve or skip the pending action before sending any new messages. Sending a follow-up while an approval is pending is what hides the prompt (your “why are u taking forever” line is what dropped it). If it does get stuck, stopping the chat brings it back, like you found.

To catch it sooner, turn on System Notifications (and Completion Sound) under Cursor Settings > General - you’ll get an alert whenever an agent needs you.

This isn’t intended behavior; we’ve let the team know and it’s an issue we’re tracking. I’ll follow up here if there’s an update.

There was no approve or skip until I sent the message was my point

Related but different issue I’m noticing is that interrupting chats is now being quite buggy. Overall I’ve noticed a decent degradation in agent window UI in the past couple of days
