Describe the Bug

Grok Bot personal finance and client sync are broken.

  1. Finance/Plaid Marketplace plugin is gone (old id 63408931; cursor.com/marketplace/cursor/finance = Plugin Not Found). GitHub still has the finance plugin pointing at https://connectors-gateway.grok.com/gateway/v1/finance/mcp, but the live listing is delisted.

  2. Finance briefly installed earlier but never became a usable MCP — no auth/connect card, no Plaid Link.

  3. AddMcpServer with that official finance gateway said “Added finance,” but no finance server ever appeared in GetMcpServerStatus (still only Slack / Outlook / Agentmail / GitHub).

  4. Bank website fallback failed (Citi returned “temporary delays” after login). Prefer Plaid, not per-bank browser logins.

  5. Agent SendFeedback is blocked while Privacy Mode is on, so the bot cannot file this for me.

  6. Chat transcript on the Grok Bot app does not match the same chat on my computer — clients are out of sync with no working refresh.

Ask: Restore working Finance/Plaid for Grok Bot (install → live MCP → Plaid Link), and fix multi-client chat sync.

Steps to Reproduce

Anytime I ask it to add a credit card or open up the financing, it cannot open up PLAID to connect my credit cards, and when I try to login to each individual credit card company like Chase or Citi or US Bank or Bank of America ETC, the websites all say they’re erred, so it’s not accepting communication from this bot, which renders this total program useless if I’m unable to connect my finances

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. I’ll go through it point by point.

On Finance/Plaid: This connector isn’t released to users yet, so you can’t install or connect it on your account right now. The listing your bot found, and the “Added finance” message, are part of unreleased work that leaked into the UI. That’s why the Plaid Link window didn’t show up, and the server didn’t start in GetMcpServerStatus. I shared your interest with the team, but I can’t share dates yet.

On signing in to bank sites: Many banks treat logins coming from the bot’s cloud environment as a new, unknown device and they block or delay the sign-in. That’s where the “temporary delays” on Citi come from. So signing into each bank through the bot browser isn’t a working approach right now.

On SendFeedback: The tool really is unavailable while Privacy Mode is enabled. That’s expected behavior, nothing is broken. Posting here was the right move.

For the chat sync issue, I need a bit more info. Please try this:

  1. On your computer, open the chat that looks different and send a short message like “sync test”.
  2. On your iPhone, fully close the Grok Bot app.
  3. Open the app again and open the same chat.
  4. Check whether “sync test” and the earlier messages show up.

If not, send the bot name, the app version on your computer and on your iPhone, and a screenshot of the same chat on both devices. Let me know how it goes.
