Describe the Bug

Building from Plan Mode stuck after creating 1 of classes and not proceed anything unless stop the operation and revert. Retry back also same it still stuck.

Steps to Reproduce

Run Build on Plan Mode using GPT-5.1-Codex-Max-High/xHigh

Update: try change to auto model also stuck

I was having the same issues, so I rolled back to version 2.1.46, and now it’s working well

I have the same issue with the Plan Mode but i maybe know the issue. The first file that gets created in the Plan mode got stuck. When clicking on the file in the agent it asks me to create the empty file. I ask him again to perform the Plan and it works fine after that.

They released two consecutive versions with a critical bug that renders the system unusable. And the update wasn’t one of those early or nightly ones. Two days later, thousands of paying users are still waiting for a solution!

i also updated everything now even pip and it seems to work. But maybe just luck rn.

No terminal commands from agent mode work for me today. Cursor is now unusable.

This is a known issue with Plan mode, confirmed above in this thread a few hours ago. They said to not use Plan mode. ask the model to generate a plan while in Agent mode.

Massive outage and lost hours of time today.

This was also still broken on FRIDAY, cmon bros. didnt you get 1 billion in funding?
