Plan mode not working in new worktree

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but whenever I’m using the agents window and creating a /plan in a worktree, once the agent starts working, /plan mode exits and the agent functions like /plan was never used, however, I can enter /plan mode afterwards in the same chat and worktree; it only happens when starting a new worktree.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a new chat as a worktree and enter /plan mode. Once you send the message, the agent start working in normal mode instead of plan mode.

Expected Behavior

Plan mode should be kept after sending the chat message. The agent should work on creating a plan instead of taking immediate action in the source code.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi! We indeed had this bug, but it is fixed in 3.3.

Thanks! I’m guessing 3.3 isn’t out yet?
Edit: I see it’s out, but hasn’t rolled out to my client yet. Checking for updates in the client returns no updates.

Updates roll out gradually, so it may take a bit before 3.3 reaches your client. You can try running Attempt Update from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P > “Attempt Update”) to pull it manually. If it still doesn’t show, check back in a day or two.
