Please Bring Native INR Pricing to All Premium Plans (almost Save 30% Markup)

Describe the request

Hi Cursor Team and Community,

First of all, I want to say how incredibly happy I am with the service. Cursor has completely transformed my development workflow, and the tool is absolutely amazing. Thank you for building such a fantastic IDE!
I am writing this to request an expansion of your pricing currency options for users in India.
Recently, Cursor launched an excellent India-centric plan priced natively in INR. This was a great step, but the rest of the premium plans are still billed strictly in USD.
When paying for USD plans from India, Indian users end up paying an extra markup of almost 30% of the plan’s value. This extra cost comes from:

  • Foreign Transaction Fees: Charged by Indian banks for USD processing.
  • Bad Conversion Rates: Poor currency exchange rates applied during the transaction.
  • Additional Taxes: Cross-border payment compliance fees and high GST overheads on foreign software mandates.

This means a massive chunk of our money is completely wasted on unnecessary banking and conversion fees instead of going toward the actual service.

My Request:
Please make all Cursor plans available natively in INR, just like the India-centric plan.

By eliminating the USD-to-INR conversion waste:

  • The plans will automatically become significantly cheaper and more accessible for Indian developers.
  • Users can pay the actual value of the software rather than wasting 30% on bank fees.
  • It will drive massive adoption in the rapidly growing Indian developer ecosystem.

I love the IDE and want to continue supporting it without losing money to intermediate payment processors. Please consider bringing native INR billing across the board.

I completely agree. This would help Indian developers a lot.

Another request I’d like to add is support for UPI payments. Many people in India still can’t purchase Cursor simply because they don’t have an international credit card. One of my friends has to ask me to buy Cursor for him every time because he has no other payment option.

Adding UPI support, along with native INR pricing for all plans, would make a huge difference. It would remove unnecessary payment barriers and allow many more Indian developers to use Cursor as part of their daily workflow.
