I don’t want a vibe coding agent. I want a tool that does what I tell it.
Please just give us an option to turn off ALL agent instructions, other than specific instructions on how to use tools. I’d previously just deleted all your instructions from the .js, but as you’re now injecting those instructions on the server that’s become impossible.
Cursor is great, but I’m constantly fighting to wrangle the agent into what it SHOULD be – an assistant. Maybe in 2-5 years your “feel free to do whatever you want in this code base” instructions will be appropriate, but today they absolutely are not.
