Pro Update Pro+

I want to know, I subscribed to Pro before September 25, and now it is 500 times. If I subscribe to Pro+, will it be billed according to Token or upgraded to 500×3?

Hey, good question.

The current Pro+ plan uses token-based billing. You get $70 of API usage per month, not request-based. So if you upgrade from your legacy Pro 500 requests to Pro+, you’ll switch to the $70 token-based model.

There isn’t a 500 x 3 option. The request-based system is only for legacy Pro plans. Pro+ has always used the newer usage-based pricing.

You can check the details here:

One thing to keep in mind: if you upgrade and later want to go back to Pro, you might lose the legacy 500-request pricing and switch to the current Pro model, which is $20 of API usage. I’d recommend double-checking on your billing dashboard before making any changes: https://cursor.com/dashboard/billing

Let me know if you have other questions.

Could you tell me how many requests are consumed to answer a single question when using the Fable model? My billing is based on a count of 500 requests rather than tokens.

Hey, there’s an important detail about Fable. On request-based plans like your legacy 500-request plan, Fable only works in Max Mode. And Max Mode isn’t charged as a fixed number of requests. It’s billed based on the model’s actual usage in tokens, its API rate, and legacy plans also have a 20% surcharge.

So you can’t calculate in advance how many requests one question will cost. The cost depends on the size of the context, the length of the answer, and how many tool calls happen in that specific request. It’s not a simple 1 question = 1 request model like regular models on the 500 plan.
