Hi there, I am encountering and issue with one of the agents on IDE. I tried other agents and new agents, everything is fine. I encountered similar issues before, but either restarting IDE or laptop helped.

Need to use agent session I mentioned, I see its related to it.

Hey, thanks for the report and the detailed log. This looks like a case where the error gets stuck in one specific conversation. The turn is marked as isRetryable:false, so resending in the same chat won’t recover it. That session keeps failing, while new chats and other agents work fine. That’s why restarting the IDE or your laptop seems to help, it clears the in-memory conversation state.

What to try instead of restarting:

  • Start a new chat, or duplicate or branch the current conversation for this task, instead of resending in the stuck session.
  • Optionally switch the model for this task Auto or a non-fast option. That can route the request away from the provider that’s failing.

If you see it failing consistently and only in one specific conversation, let me know and I’ll share more details. For now, a new chat should unblock you.
