Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, this is a known model routing issue. When the request goes to a provider and they return an error, the system doesn’t automatically fail over to a backup.

Two workarounds:

  • Just retry the request, it usually works on the second or third try.
  • Try a different model like Claude 4.6 Sonnet or GPT-5 if the error only happens on Opus 4.6.

The team is aware of the issue. Let me know if it worked.

This isn’t unique to Cursor, it happens on Antigravity and Claude Code too. Not sure what the hell hey’re doing because the status page shows everything is green.. https://status.claude.com/
