If you are in another cursor chat or another app and return to the cursor chat that had questions or was about to show questions, the questions don’t load. This is super annoying.
I can’t wait at my screen or phone for hours for it to ask me a question but as I didn’t see them it doesn’t show me them again.
Steps to Reproduce
Cary out a plan, ask cursor to do something knowing it will ask you questions. Switch to another cursor chat or another app. Return to the original chat 10-20 minutes later depending on the original assignment you gave it. You’ll see it says “Asked questions” but they don’t appear.
However if you send a new message, the question modal appears for 1 second and then goes.
What you’re describing isn’t intended, and it’s not caused by anything in your setup. This is an issue we’re tracking. When you come back to a chat where the agent is waiting on a question, the app sometimes doesn’t re-show that question, so you only see “Asked question”.
Two things to try:
Open the same agent at cursor.com/agents (or in the desktop app). If the question is there, answer it. The agent continues, and the iOS app should pick the chat back up.
On iOS, reply in the chat and ask the agent to repeat its questions as a normal message, then answer in text. Sending a new message can make the question card flash and then disappear, because that message takes the place of the pending question. Asking it to repeat the questions in plain text avoids that.
If the question is missing on the web too, reply with the agent link from cursor.com/agents, and we can look at that run.
