I don’t know why Cursor’s charging policy has been changing secretly. I also met this problem. They told me that I couldn’t get a refund because I used too much, but I could get a refund and re-subscribe before. How do users know we may reach a usage limit? Cursor team doesn’t tell us the threshold

@JesseStutler usage is refunded in full if you have not used it in this month. If you on other side have used a large portion of your plan or in full then the refund wont be the same.

You can see your usage limit at any time in Cursor by going to Settings and changing Usage Summary to Always.

So if I understand this correctly, I can not get a refund for usage even if the usage returns no usable code?

The output of the model is unfortunately out of our control. While we work hard to ensure the best compatibility and performance in Cursor, we are unable to refund poor responses from the model, providing there is no evidence to suggest the poor response was due to a bug in Cursor.

“providing there is no evidence to suggest the poor response was due to a bug in Cursor.”
This is the issue I have, yet I’m still being told, No refunds!
I have really had a bad experience here! For me, The poor performance of the product is only half of the issues I have with the Cursor organization as a whole.
Wayyyy too much to get into here, especially considering my experiences in this forum and the Email support have proven to me to be a complete waste of time.
I am of the opinion that as long as Cursor alters the messages to the LLM, Cursor is responsible for its output. How can you blame the LLM when your in the middle altering the transaction? Anyway, As usual, Go ahead and delete/hide/de list this if you want - I’m DONE fighting this battle!

Every user of Cursor shares the same out-of-the-box defaults, and the team works incredibly hard to tweak and tune those defaults to maximise the performance and output of the models, without obscuring any of the intelligence or functionality that the models themselves are trained with.

These are necessary to ensure the model understands the context in which it is operating and has the tools and information it needs to behave intelligently.

If you are finding sustained poor performance in Cursor, feel free to post any clear examples you have in Bug Reports and the team will be happy to help you there.

I’m a new user who just signed up for the 14-day free trial. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the interface and accidentally clicked the upgrade to Pro button, and I’ve been charged $20 immediately.
I haven’t used the Pro features at all and would like to request a refund before I decide if I want to use the Pro version in the future.
My bill number is: YSHRSJKB-0002.

Hello, my subscription was automatically renewed today. I did not intend for this renewal, and I would like to request a refund for this charge.

Hey, I’ve sent you a DM.

I requested a refund today by emailing [email protected] and [email protected]. The charge was made automatically and not intentionally, so I would like a refund for it. Do I need to do anything else, or is there a ‘Request a refund’ button I should click, or am I fine as it is? @deanrie
