Hey @sean_j_roberts, this is a known issue. Agent terminal commands hanging affects different OSes, including macOS on Cursor 3. There was a very detailed recent report with the same symptom: Backgrounded terminal hangs in IDE
A couple questions to better understand your case:
- What exact Cursor 3 version are you on? Help > About
- Which shell are you using? zsh, bash?
- Does it hang on specific commands, or on anything?
As a workaround, try enabling Legacy Terminal: Cursor Settings > Agents > Terminal > Legacy Terminal, then restart Cursor. It’s not ideal, but it fixes it for a lot of users.
