Since v3 the rename capability has disappeared in the Agents panel in the Editor view.
Rename is now on the menu in the "Agents “Window”, but didn’t seem to work when I tried it (it changed for a short period, never sync’d with the Agents panel and then switched back).
This was really useful for keeping track of multiple conversations, especially when one if forked from another.
Steps to Reproduce
In the agents panel right click on a tab/chat/Agent. There is no rename.
In the agents window right click on a tab/chat/Agent, click rename and provide a new name. Switch to the agents panel - the name hasn’t changed. Continue the conversation in the tab/chat/Agent in the agents panel. The rename will undo itself in the agents window.
Expected Behavior
Rename should be available in the agents panel and when used in the agents window should be consistently sync’d with all places that tab is displayed.
In the meantime, you can rename agents from the Agents sidebar – click the three dots (or the clock icon) next to the agent name and select Rename. I understand the sync issue you described (rename in the Agents Window not persisting to the panel) is frustrating, and I’ve flagged that specific detail with the team as well.
The original rename bug has been fixed in v3.3 (per jasondainter’s confirmation above). You can currently rename a chat by right-clicking the tab and selecting “Rename Chat.”
Adding rename to the window title bar and the “…” menu is a good suggestion. I’d recommend creating a new Feature Request thread for this so it gets proper visibility and tracking from the product team. The request is distinct from the original bug here (which was about rename being missing entirely).
