Remote SSH session, opening the home directory causes Cursor tab to freeze for any model, typing locks up and no model runs

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When connected to a remote machine over SSH in Cursor, opening the remote user’s home directory causes the Cursor tab to freeze. In the tab for any model, as soon as I type, the UI locks. No responses are returned and no models work until I close the tab or disconnect the SSH session.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Cursor.

Connect to a remote host using SSH.

In the Explorer, open the remote user’s home directory, for example tilde.

Open the Cursor tab, then choose any model.

Start typing a prompt.

Expected Behavior

The Cursor tab should accept input and send it to the selected model. The UI should remain responsive and the model should respond normally.
