Hi, I’m running into a UI issue when SSH-ing into one specific server through Cursor.
In that remote window, the Activity Bar gets a gold/mustard background color, and the icons are barely visible. The problem is only on this one SSH target; all other SSH hosts look normal.
What I’ve tried:
- Editing User settings.json
- Editing Remote/Machine settings
- Adding explicit color overrides
- Ensured no theme-related extensions are installed in the server
On other servers, this JSON works correctly and changes the Activity Bar color immediately.
But on this one remote SSH host, none of these overrides has any effect at all.
It really looks like Cursor is forcing a per-remote accent color that cannot be disabled or overridden for this host.
Could this be a Cursor Remote-SSH bug? Thanks.
