Hey, this error is coming directly from Anthropic’s content moderation. Cursor is only proxying it, so we can’t change the filter decision on our side. Opus 4.7 cyber safeguards are noticeably stricter than 4.6, and the filter checks the whole chat context and codebase, so even harmless messages can sometimes trigger a block.

What you can do:

  • Switch to a different model: Opus 4.6, GPT-5, Composer 2, or Gemini 3 Pro.
  • If you’re sure it’s a false positive on a legit project, Anthropic has a Cyber Verification Program: Real-time cyber safeguards on Claude | Claude Help Center. If Cursor shows a link to the form in the error, that’s the right channel.
  • Sometimes it helps to clearly explain the goal and context in your prompt, especially if your project includes anything close to security or credentials.
