We have observed that regular members are able to invite users in team mode, which poses significant security concerns for us. We want only admins to have permission to invite users.

There’s a team setting that might be able to achieve this: when it’s on, only admins can invite new members or create invite links, and regular members won’t even see the Invite button. To get it enabled for your team, drop us a note at [email protected] from your admin email and we’ll look into it for you.
In the meantime, you can tighten this today from your team dashboard (cursor.com/dashboard → your team → Settings → Team Joining): turn on “Restrict invites to approved domains” so any invite can only be accepted by someone with your company’s email domain.
