It keeps forcing an update to 0.43 and 0.43 sucks. It not showing the files above the chat as drop in files and its trying to make all source code go into the chat. Its not properly connecting to the right file paths for auto completion. I want to go back. I tried re-installing and that made it worse. Since I’m on windows I figured that would have reverted it because the installer is a previous version but it keeps updating it. I didn’t use git or compile myself??? I thought I clicked the right area for no updates but that doesnt seem to work either.

Hopefully they get it fixed soon. There has to be many people sending in bug reports.

The download link is still 0.42.5，I use cursor in windows too, but have not recieve the update action.
Thats weird because I had the previous version download that was 0.42.3 so that I could reinstall anytime but Ill try reinstalling from the site again. The one I had auto updated for some reason.

Ok so what’s happening is when I un-install then re-install its the right version 0.42.5 but when I exit out of the program and re-enter there’s a java time error then its updates to the newest version. There’s no backing out of it lmao.
@amanrs besides the files not lining up right with the file path for it to auto complete. Its been half printing the info. Meaning its only producing half the source code line as output and not that its being selective in output. The chars are being printed in offset by one or two off or more. Its also not adding the files above the chat separately, its trying to make all the code, go into the actual chat box and that’s not normal.
Its also getting the terminal wrong.
I haven’t really asked it any questions because I don’t want it wasting requests. Thinking of redoing the install and just not exiting out of the program lmao.
What is the exact version? Check about Cursor. It should be 0.43.something. Would be helpful to know the minor version number

So when I exit from the program it temporary, makes the shortcut invalid, then this error comes up before it forces an update to the newest version.

Yes old UI was slighly better, sidebar take too much space. Need to be optional

Day two and no luck!!! Hopefully they get it fixed. I cant work and I cant revert. Should un-install vscode and see if that will help lmao.

Regardless the problem still exists. It forcing updates. When I leave the app. What all do I need to turn off??
Editor totally broken since few days. Everything AI related became super slow. Sometimes no response at all till restart the editor. Latest update did not help. And even not possible to go to old version anymore. Reinstall did not help. Accept Changes became so stupid that it replaces code now with “existing implementation”.

You can go to old version. You just cant get leave the program or it will update. I did this but when I took a nap and came back it forced close it lmao. Then updated. So you can get some work done by installing previous but you cant leave it still. Oh yea, I should not have tried to use the new version because it gutted my scope table. A new kind of symbol table that uses hash without or nearly no collisions. Now I have to redo. I made it a library so my freaking compiler and assembler rely on it to be correct otherwise it causes errors. Because the scope table had function calls in the code I was trying to work it decided that needed adjustments also.
with old editor i still have problem with AI responses. first response after editor restart is quick but all others are hanging / not replying.
I did not think of that. It was kind of slow in the old one too. Bout to play mtga till they fix lmao.
