Rules & Skills Stuck in Loading — Slash Commands Unusable

Describe the Bug

In Cursor IDE, the Rules and Skills sections stay in a loading state and never finish loading. When typing a slash (/) in chat, it also shows loading and slash commands cannot be used.

Steps to Reproduce

I’m not sure what caused it — it stopped working when I opened the app this morning. I’ve tried force quitting, reinstalling, and even completely removing and reinstalling, but none of that fixed the issue.

Me too. The temporary solution is to turn off the “Include” option in the Settings section of Rules, Skills, and Subagents. You can give it a try. A better solution will require the Cursor team to investigate and fix it.
