Feature request for product/service
Cursor IDE
Describe the request
I work across multiple businesses, each with different budgets and model access limitations. Currently, I have to log out and re-authenticate every time I switch projects in order to use a different Cursor account (username/email).
It would be extremely helpful to be able to authenticate multiple accounts once and then quickly switch between them as needed — similar to how browsers or IDE profiles support multiple signed-in users.
This would significantly improve workflow efficiency and reduce friction when working across client environments and projects.

Describe the request
Hello,
Many users have multiple subscriptions (e.g., one personal and one provided by work). Currently, it’s very inconvenient to fully log out of one account and log into the other every time we need to switch between them.
I would like to request a feature that allows users to easily switch between multiple accounts without having to log out and log back in. This is a common feature in many modern web services and applications (like Gmail, Slack, etc.).
This would significantly improve the user experience for anyone managing more than one account on your platform.
Is this something the development team is considering?

Describe the request
I’d like to request the option to have multiple signed in user profiles for cursor ideally with the ability to switch between them depending on what workspace you’re looking at. I have a separate cursor account for personal use and for my workplace. It would be great to be able to configure that if I open my workplace repository it switches to my workplace profile and uses that particular accounts settings, and billing profile, etc..

Not sure if this should be a feature request or a question on how to do this, but I would love to be able to have different accounts signed in to different workspaces, I have a personal account and a work account and I can’t mix them when coding on different projects so everytime I switch to one project I have to sign out and sign in to the other account. I’ve had a couple times where I forget to do this.

I frequently work on different types of projects that require specific sets of extensions and configurations. Currently, I’m experiencing performance issues when too many extensions are enabled simultaneously, causing lag and reduced productivity. Additionally, switching between different development contexts (e.g., from frontend to backend work) requires manually enabling/disabling extensions and changing settings, which is time-consuming and error-prone.
I propose implementing a Profiles Management System in Cursor, similar to the one available in Visual Studio Code. This feature would allow users to create, manage, and switch between different profiles, each with its own set of extensions, settings (rules for AI ? why not), ect.

Describe the request
Hello, the problem is this:
I have 2 GCP instances I connect to, one of them with 4 features (4 cursor windows I use at the same time open), all in a VM.
The other one 2 instances of cursor.
This is in total 6 of them which makes it chaotic and slow. Closing and reopening everything from the other “profile” takes time.
I would like to switch profiles (so that I see the windows from one instance (or one profile) at the same time and I can trigger easily between them.
Also when an instance is shut down, all of the open windows end up being kinda unusable.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, but I see some possible improvements regarding this for sure (at least for me) and I think for other devs could also make sense (if they are working in more than one project at a time).
I have a personel account and a company account. It would be nice if there was an option to quickly switch users.
I want to switch account automatically by folder.
Job’s folder and personal folder.
If forget switching between pro and business, it’s incident.
