# Send desktop notification once an agent has finished running

I sometimes start a different tab if I’ve given the agent something long-running to do. It would be really useful if Cursor generated a notification once an agent was done with its work.

Great suggestion! Cursor now does trigger a sound when agent finishes but a notification would also be nice. Upvoted 🙂

ohhh interesting! The issue with sound is that I run my computer on mute. It would be extremely helpful to get notifications. Especially once background processes become more of a thing!
