Setting to Disable "Auto Group Changes" is Missing

Bless the AI for this is the only line that i wrote.

:white_check_mark: Check the forum I have searched the forum and haven’t found a report about this specific setting being removed.

:lady_beetle: Clear description of the bug The setting for “Auto Group Changes” is missing since the 1.0 update. Previously, I used this feature to review each file change individually following each not yet accepted dif.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: How to reproduce the bug

  1. Go to Settings in Cursor 1.0 or later.
  2. Search for “Auto Group Changes”.
  3. The toggle for this feature is no longer available.

:camera: Attach screenshots or recordings I’ve attached a screenshot of the old setting for reference. Its absence in the current version forces a unified diff view, removing the previous file-by-file review workflow.

:laptop: Your operating system and your Cursor version

  • Operating System: Windows 11 23H2 22631.5335
  • Cursor Version: 1.0.1

:prohibited: Does the issue stop you from using Cursor? This is a major workflow impediment. The ability to review changes individually before accepting was crucial for accuracy and efficiency, especially with large-scale changes. Without this setting, the review process is much slower and more cumbersome.

Issue is still there. I hope the feature was not just silently discontinued as this is one of the few valuable things that differentiated cursor from windsurf or roocode/cline for this matter. A feedback from the team would be of help. Thanks.
